Just a quick update because I couldn't sleep. I am fast becoming the NVC stalker. I call them daily to find out if they received our stuff yet...I even got the same lady 3 days in a row on the phone...the last time I called she said, "I remember you, you've called me 2 other times...you might try waiting a few days until you call again". At first I felt ridiculous, but then I thought...wait a minute...that is my CHILD over there and gosh darn it, no one else is tracking this paperwork (Immigration sends it regular mail) so it is my job to make sure everything is going as it is supposed to.
I was able to find out that Immigration actually did not mail our paperwork on our 10/23 approval date. They informed me in an e-mail they sent it "the following week"...not specifying a date. Therefore it really hasn't been that long. I will call the NVC Friday afternoon because I believe they are closed Monday. Based upon other people's timelines between I600 approval and NVC log in, I think I will not get a thumbs up from NVC until the end of next week. I'm trying to be patient.
I'm gradually reworking my frame of mind from expecting December travel to expecting January travel...my motto is to always set your expectations low so you can't be disappointed :)
