The latest...

I said I would post after we attended our agency picnic last Saturday, but it has been a crazy week! The latest is that we won't know anything new for a while. We had a wonderful time last Saturday visiting with our "old" adoption friends and making some new ones as well. Our social worker gave us our acceptance packet, which we promptly completed and returned the next day...and now we wait. There are several things we need to wait for, and although our wonderful social worker has told us several times I am still a little unclear on the process and order between now and our call for travel. All I can tell you is that we must wait for various Immigration approvals, legal papers from Korea, and some other important "stuff". I'm calling it stuff right now because I'm too tired and frazzled to look through my notes and figure it out.

As we begin to hear back regarding some of these important steps I will post...but I get the impression that November travel would be highly unlikely, so we will hope for December. It is out of our control at this point so we will deal with whatever happens. In the mean time we have plenty to keep us busy with preparing the baby's room (fun), and figuring out a whole bunch of logistical stuff with regards to my school, future internship, etc (not as fun). I am not in the least bit anxious yet, but in another month I'll probably be chomping at the bit for any news I can get my hands on.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to post some baby room photos and announce a name!
