Well obviously I don't know what I am talking about :) Carl, Alex, and I are happy to introduce the newest family member-to-be! We received the call last Friday but needed to await the weekend to receive all of her information. We are overwhelmed and thrilled to say the least but here are a few details...
--She was born on March 20th of this year.
--As you can see by the card in her photo her Korean name is Yoon Sook Kim. No, we don't have her new name picked out yet but will use her Korean name as a part of her American name in some way, as we did with Alex.
--And the question that comes next is...when do you get to get her?...and the answer is...we don't know. It will be at least 2 months, probably 3, maybe 4??? Our agency assures us (yes, I know, we said that before--but it is really true this time) that we cannot travel before several things such as Immigration clearance, certain Korean paperwork, etc.
I want to say that we've been overwhelmed with the support of family and friends. Thanks to one particular family member who brought us beautiful things for the baby's room all ready, and to a few wonderful people at work who will understand what I'm talking about when they read this :)...and to all of the wonderful fellow adoptive parents who talked us through some various perspectives, again...you know who you are!
I'll post more after Saturday, when I learn more about the process from here on out.
