Here's my totally awesome new carrier! I don't have a baby around to practice with...so Pooh was my guinea pig :) He really didn't mind too much, he purred the whole time he was in there. Too funny.

Meaning of our Blog title
Kimchi is a very common side dish in Korean culture. In fact, it is served at nearly every meal. There are many varieties of Kimchi, but commonly it consists of fermented cabbage, radishes, or turnips in a sweet or spicy (or both) brine. Kimchi is thought to ward off illness, and is so pervasive in Korea that when someone gets ready to take a picture they tell the persons to "say kimchi"...similar to our "say cheese".

- 07/18/07: Fingerprinted for state background check
- 07/21/07: Final Homestudy Vist
- 07/21/07: I600A Application Returned by Immigration...rejected due to improper payment method :(
- 07/23/07: Mailed I600A AGAIN with the correct form of payment!
- 07/27/07: Immigration Filing Date
- 08/17/07: Carl's physical
- 08/21/07: Immigration Fingerprints
- 08/31/07: Shelly's Physical
- 09/06/07: State of Illinois background clearances received by Social Worker
- 09/07/07: Referral Call
- 09/08/07: Received referral medical reports
- 09/11/07: Received referral photos :)
- 09/12/07: Received medical evaluation by International Adoption Dr.
- 09/17/07: Mailed our acceptance packet
- 10/23/2007-Both Immigration forms Approved
- 11/14/07: I600 Approval arrives at NVC
- 11/15/2007: I600 Approval leaves NVC
- 11/29/2007: TRAVEL CALL
- 12/11/07: Met Sophie!
- 12/13/07: Sophie's ours!
- 12/14/07: Returned home
- 09/16/08: U.S. Finalization
